We will ask you a series of guided questions designed to better understand your writing challenges and goals. Through this, we will also get a strong sense of which 1types writing you most want to improve and where you feel that your weaknesses lie within and across those writing types.

We collect samples of your actual writing and analyze them to determine your where your particular weaknesses lie.

Based on your specific writing challenges, we create a fully customized program and provide you with a system to help you improve your professional writing skills.

We chart a measurable path to improvement with specific weekly and/or monthly writing skills targets that you will meet or exceed.

One of the company’s two partners will personally guide you through a number of specialized exercises and activities that have been proven to yield strong improvement in effective written communication.

Tips for Better Academic & Professional Writing

Academic and professional writing should always be composed with a clear audience in mind. What do your readers need to know?  Do they have a bias?  How much knowledge do they have on the topic? Maintaining a strong awareness of your audience is absolutely essential to effectively informing and persuading those you are trying to reach!

Cohesive devices such as conjunctions and transitions link your ideas and add greater meaning and flow to your writing. In addition to these interconnecting elements, repetition of ideas, referential pronouns, and other language techniques will enable you to maintain the interest of your readers and get your ideas across more clearly.

Expressing your thoughts and ideas in the fewest possible words will help keep your readers focused on your writing.  Identifying and eliminating unnecessary words, phrases, and sentences is a skill that can be developed by following a specific system that you will receive as part of your academic or professional writing program.
